Police Stop Vehicle on MGWE

Since Alex's Deli was burgled at 1:45 on Tuesday morning it may be that The Meadows will get some extra attention from the Sheriff. Certainly we did today. Alex lost a substantial amount of money and provisions...apparently through the back door. This is the first major problem at the Deli in 10 years.

Three Sheriff cars did a vehicle stop in front of our house this morning...a car with different tags, front and back, no current registration (and an attempt to deceive by putting a red tape sticker where the red registration should appear), driving on a suspended drivers license...

Police told us jokingly that they were just in the neighborhood to guard the home of a Naval Academy graduate (they saw the sticker on my car...)

Police also said the kid appeared to be a nice kid, he just didn't have his head screwed on right... he was not from the Meadows, just coming into the Meadows to make a bid on some work...

Nothing to do with the burglary, unfortunately.
